Special Education Teacher Opportunity

Bridgeline Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at a Special Education school in Newton, NH.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working with students, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with teachers and other school staff.


Qualifications:
  • Certification in Special Education is required.
  • The successful candidate will participate in TCIS Training and be capable of implementing the physical restraint technique. They must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting, carrying, squatting, climbing, running, swimming, and restraining students.

Responsibilities:
  • The Special Education Teacher will meet with and contribute to the education instruction team to develop a holistic approach to instruction and therapy efforts.
  • They will be responsible for the instructional program for their assigned students.
  • The teacher will contribute to the design and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • They will coordinate and assist paraprofessionals in delivering academic and IEP services.
  • The Special Education Teacher will develop and maintain all pertinent records for the instructional program and their assigned students.
  • They will attend all staffing meetings as necessary.
  • The teacher will structure and maintain a nurturing and therapeutic environment conducive to learning.
  • They will support the implementation of the program philosophy.
  • The Special Education Teacher will work with and assist other home, school, and community agencies in coordinating services needed by their assigned students.
  • They will work in conjunction with the therapist/case manager to coordinate home/school/community-related issues.
  • The teacher will participate in all pertinent staff development activities unless excused by the Executive Director.
  • They will develop and maintain an inventory record of all instructional supplies, materials, and equipment pertinent to their program.
  • The Special Education Teacher will perform other duties as required by the Program Director and/or the Executive Director.
