Position Title: Dream Center Program Coordinator

Reports To: Dream Center Program Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Dream Center Program Coordinator, under the supervision of the Dream Center Program Supervisor, is tasked with inspiring and guiding children and volunteers with integrity and respect. This role encompasses the management of daily operations at the Dream Center, including special events, projects, and the facilitation of both existing and new initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in gathering data for necessary reports.
  • Be present at all times when volunteers are on-site.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of nightly pillar activities, including STEAM, Life Skills, Literacy, and College Access Programming.
  • Manage daily maintenance of the Point System Program data.
  • Compile daily tracking and reporting data.
  • Maintain participant names and update store balances in accordance with the Daily Point System Program.
  • Support the Dream Center Program Supervisor with any issues involving children, guests, or volunteers in a confidential manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dream Center Program Supervisor.
  • Actively participate in and exemplify the Culture of Philanthropy at SVdP, ensuring that volunteers feel valued and appreciated.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong clerical, computer, and administrative skills are advantageous.
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) are preferred but not mandatory.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and serving as a positive role model.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children aged 4 and above.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in managing and working with volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient in Google Chromebooks, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and general office equipment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experience in programming and community outreach initiatives.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours daily), lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks that require bending and reaching.
  • Proficiency in using a computer screen, keyboard, and mouse is essential.
