Job Description

The Army National Guard is seeking highly skilled individuals to fill the role of Field Artillery Firefinder Radar Operator. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in detecting and tracking enemy targets, utilizing advanced radar technology to provide critical information to your unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain Firefinder radar systems to detect and track enemy targets
  • Communicate target information to your unit, utilizing radio and wire communications
  • Construct and maintain bunkers and other field artillery facilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on Firefinder radar systems
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of field tactics and combat communications
  • Ability to calculate and record speed, direction, and altitude
  • Skills in geometry and math
  • Ability to maintain focus for long periods of time
