About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Kupper Engineering Inc. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing engineering work in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of power systems.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs and solutions. You will work closely with our team of experienced engineers to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering site surveys and analysis
  • Prepare protection & control schematics, wiring drawings, and relay philosophies for substation modifications
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a variety of substation protection and controls issues
  • Feasibility studies
  • Load studies and energy analysis
  • Computer Aided Drafting
  • Computer-Aided Drafting Quality Control
  • Engineering Quality Control
  • Lead/support product design reviews
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives for projects
  • Develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, and electrical & instrument diagrams (E&IDs)
  • Perform equipment selections, load calculations, control diagrams, systems narratives, commissioning planning and execution, and creating specification documents
Requirements
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with a focus on Power Systems or similar
  • Hold a current, active PE license in Pennsylvania
  • Licensure in the additional state(s) is an advantage
  • 7+ years of experience with 3-5 years of experience in relay/protections engineering or related disciplines
  • Programming knowledge or experience with relays and other substation equipment
  • Experience with REVIT is an advantage
