Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer with extensive experience in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities. This position requires full-time travel to various project locations. The initial engagement is for a contract period, with a strong possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role based on performance and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee commissioning and start-up processes for LNG facilities, ensuring that all systems and equipment adhere to operational specifications and safety protocols.
- Formulate and implement commissioning strategies, including detailed procedures for testing and validating I&C systems.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, construction, and operational staff, to guarantee successful project execution.
- Identify and rectify I&C challenges during the commissioning phase, coordinating closely with vendors and contractors to apply necessary corrective measures.
- Track and document commissioning progress, providing consistent updates to project management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Deliver training and assistance to operational personnel regarding I&C systems and equipment.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning or I&C engineering, with at least 2 years specifically in LNG facilities.
- In-depth understanding of LNG processes, including cryogenic systems, gas turbines, compressors, and safety mechanisms.
- Expertise in control systems, instrumentation, and PLC/DCS programming.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively to project sites.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
