Regional Truck Driver Opportunity

Ryder System is seeking a dedicated and experienced Class A CDL truck driver to join our team as a Regional Truck Driver. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive solo and enjoy a variety of routes, including regional and no-touch freight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods and materials to various locations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
  • Load and unload freight, as required by the customer
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement (preferred)
  • At least 9 months of experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years, or 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years of experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
