Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in East Meadow. In this role, you will operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images and perform procedures according to established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately utilize the Picture Archival System (PACS) to make images available to radiologists for interpretation.
  • Enter proper exam coding in the Radiology Information System and complete exams in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies, reporting any equipment problems or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Instruct and supervise radiography students in clinical practicum, working with them to perform exams and evaluate images.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services.
  • New York State Radiologic Technologist License or New York State Radiologic Technologist Temp Permit.
  • ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI required within 180 days of hire or transfer.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiology Program or related health field.
  • Years of MRI technologist or training experience.
