About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety in our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for CT procedures, collecting relevant information and ensuring accurate completion of procedures.
  • Perform all CT procedures, with the ability to learn and/or perform MRI exams as needed.
  • Observe patients' conditions and provide exceptional patient care.
  • Practice and enforce radiation safety protocols, adhering to federal standards and ALARA policy.
  • Adhere to all hospital and regulatory policies, assisting in maintaining accreditation.
  • Operate electronic information systems and compile accurate records to expedite results.
  • Administer contrast media as required and participate in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of CT and MRI.
  • Take call after regular hours as assigned and maintain a clean and organized primary area.
  • Assist in other areas of the department when not needed in primary area and perform clerical and transport duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in Radiologic Technology is required, with a preferred one year dedicated CT experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology is required, with a preferred successful completion of formal computer courses.
  • ARRT registered with CT Registry within six months and BLS within 90 days of employment are required.
