As a Respiratory Therapist Hosp II, you will play a critical role in our multidisciplinary team, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients of varying ages and medical conditions.
Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $59,513 - $83,969, reflecting the competitive pay range for this role in the Rutland area. In addition, you may be eligible for various differentials, including $4.25 per hour for evening shifts, $8.00 per hour for night shifts, and $4.75 per hour for weekend shifts.
About the Role: As a Respiratory Therapist Hosp II at Rutland Regional Medical Center, your primary responsibilities will include providing direct patient care, conducting thorough assessments, developing and implementing individualized respiratory plans of care, and evaluating patient outcomes. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, participating in educational programs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Respiratory Therapist at RRMC is required. Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care and current VT State licensure are also mandatory. BLS Certification through the American Heart Association is a must, while ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications should be obtained within 60 days of hire.
- You will possess basic EKG interpretation skills, knowledge of respiratory care assessment and mechanical ventilation management, and the ability to administer surfactants to newborns. Familiarity with respiratory equipment and Heliox usage is essential, as is the ability to perform cardiac stress tests during day shifts.
