Job Summary:
Anchor QEA is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's outgoing cash cycle process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of payment activity, and collaborating with internal and external clients to provide visibility to the cash cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices received from external subcontractors and vendors daily, ensuring all invoices are valid, coded correctly, and routed to the proper employee for approval.
- Perform regular reconciliation processes to ensure all payments are valid and made timely to our partners.
- Assist with vendor setup, including validating tax and bank information, and ensuring accuracy of inputs into the company's accounting system.
- Support the annual 1099 reporting process and assist with the weekly payment process as needed.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Controller to ensure data quality of all related reports and respond to questions from internal and external customers.
- Assist with cash forecasting activities and provide support to the General Ledger Accounting team with research payment activity identified during the Bank Reconciliation process.
Requirements:
- At least a two-year Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least two years of experience within the outgoing cash cycle (accounts payable, treasury/banking).
- High integrity and personal ethics due to the sensitive nature of the work.
