Lead Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

Multimatic Inc. is in search of a Lead Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift with periodic shift rotation with 1st) to oversee a group of technicians in the upkeep of manufacturing machinery, facilitate all preventative maintenance initiatives, and address operational disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the production supervisor to ensure operational support.
  • Engage with the team to execute all scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Aid in machine repairs, changeovers, setups, and operations as necessary.
  • Demonstrate the ability to organize time, materials, and equipment needed for tasks, while accurately completing required documentation.
  • Exhibit flexibility and readiness to assist with tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A strong commitment to safety is essential.
  • Proficiency in working with various electrical controls, power systems, and circuits.
  • Capability to assemble and disassemble tools and gauges.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems and welding equipment, with Yaskawa robotic experience being advantageous.
  • Experience with PLC Allen Bradley Software.
  • A positive, service-oriented mindset and a sense of urgency.
  • Identification of process improvement opportunities as applicable.
  • Willingness to support and learn additional skills, including electrical, ventilation, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, and welding.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma with a preference for 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of robotic systems and welding equipment, with Yaskawa robotic experience being a plus.
  • Proficiency in assembling and disassembling tools and gauges.
  • Ability to organize time, materials, and equipment for task completion, along with accurate documentation.
  • Familiarity with PLC Allen Bradley Software.

  • The associate may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to perform repetitive tasks.
  • The associate must be available during off-hours as needed and assist in emergency situations. Flexibility to work various shifts and/or extended hours is required.
