Demand Forecasting

  • Executing 'Purchase Orders' in optimal truck loads to satisfy SKU requirements
    • Year-Round: preventing stock shortages while avoiding expired products
    • Seasonal: placing 50% of forecast orders initially and adjusting based on demand
    • Specialty: ordering upon Brand Manager's request
  • Modifying 'Target Days on Hand' by supplier based on situational evaluations
  • Reducing backordered items
  • Minimizing costs associated with surplus inventory
  • Ensuring all items on Purchase Orders are prepped in advance

Logistics Management

  • Overseeing all logistics operations
  • Coordinating third-party logistics as necessary
  • Utilizing internal hauling options where suitable
  • Maintaining awareness of supplier-managed logistics
  • Efficiently organizing inter-company transfers when needed

Stock Oversight

  • Collaborating with Brand Managers to identify key SKUs to prioritize and underperforming SKUs to phase out
  • Reallocating products within distribution centers to proactively address demand

Supplier Relations

  • Fostering a commitment-driven partnership with all supplier stakeholders
  • Building strong collaborative relationships with Brand Managers
  • Involving relevant suppliers in VIP Purchase Order management

Data Management

  • Regular updates to SKUs with no inventory (Close Out & Limited -> Discontinued)
  • Comprehensive daily updates of Purchase Orders in the system as information evolves

Engagement in Special Projects as necessary

Qualifications and Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years in supply chain management
  • Proficient in logistics operations
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Capability to manage uncertainty while focusing on results
  • Proactive and diligent work approach
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Highly skilled in document processing and spreadsheet management (Sheets & Excel)
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
