Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Operations Manager to lead and manage the operations of assigned practices at St. Luke's University Health Network. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring successful practice operations, effective execution of operational workflows, a patient experience consistent with SLPG standards, and a highly engaged practice operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all leadership and managerial functions across the employee life cycle for direct reports, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and development.
  • Ensure operational readiness for clinical and administrative operations, including developing employee schedules, maintaining supply inventory, office equipment, and furnishings, and facilitating daily huddles.
  • Manage practice operations, workflow execution, employee collaboration, and overall patient experience.
  • Partner with other organizational functions to coordinate and facilitate effective practice operations.
  • Serve as a point of escalation and address critical operational, technological, patient, and employee issues.
  • Achieve expected practice financial performance through judicious expense management, efficient resource utilization, volume growth, and execution of financial management best practices.
  • Utilize organizational tools to monitor practice performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop/implement improvement strategies via a multidisciplinary, team-based approach.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in health or business administration and three years of office management experience, including one year in a healthcare organization.
  • OR Master's Degree in health or business administration and one year of office management experience, including one year in a healthcare organization.
  • OR Associate Degree in health or business administration and eight years of office management experience, including one year in a healthcare organization.
  • OR High School Diploma and eight years of office management experience, including one year in a healthcare organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical practice management experience in key areas, including business operations, financial management, human resource management, information management, organizational governance, patient care systems, risk management, and quality management.
  • Strong direct performance management, tact, and financial acumen.
  • Basic knowledge of CLIA, HIPAA, NCQA, and OSHA medical office regulations.
