The City of College Park is looking for a dedicated administrative support specialist to provide essential office and administrative assistance for the Department of Youth, Family, and Senior Services.
This role involves regular interaction with the public and internal staff. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication abilities and a strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming and assisting customers both in-person and over the phone by delivering program-related information.
- Addressing inquiries and directing customers to the suitable service provider.
- Maintaining records, performing data entry, scanning documents, and organizing files.
- Drafting correspondence and compiling reports.
- Supporting team members with various administrative tasks.
The successful applicant should meet the following qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in administrative roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong spelling, grammar, and customer service skills.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable means of transportation.
While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual (Spanish).
