The mission of this function is to provide exceptional detection engineering, threat hunting, and malware analysis to DivvyCloud's clients and partners worldwide.

Our detection engineering experts curate threat intelligence to develop alerts that warrant human examination through applied research, monitoring of malicious actor behaviors, and identification of emerging threats. Our vision is to understand the when, who, and why behind threats. We engage throughout the incident lifecycle to construct detections and identify activity patterns, enhancing our comprehension of adversarial actions, accelerating responses, and continuously refining our collective threat knowledge. • Collaborate closely with our global MDR Operations, Product, Engineering, PMO, and Customer Advisor teams to ensure favorable outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a technical and managerial escalation point for complex challenges.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes healthy work habits and a sustainable work-life balance.
  • Drive innovation in our products and services to enhance processes, improve tool reliability and effectiveness, and minimize unnecessary alerts.
  • Serve as an escalation point for senior team members and DivvyCloud clients.

The skills you will bring include:

  • Over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly in detection, malware analysis, incident response, and/or threat intelligence.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading security teams and detection functions.
  • Familiarity with graphical link analysis tools (e.g., Maltego, Analyst Notebook, Palantir).
  • Experience with threat indicator management platforms (e.g., ThreatQ, Anomali, RecordedFuture).
  • Advanced understanding of operating systems, services, networking protocols, logging, attacker techniques, and tools.
  • Operational experience utilizing threat intelligence for adversary detection and response.
  • Expertise in analyzing large datasets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in scripting, software development, engineering, and/or DevOps.
  • Prior experience in MDR and/or MSSP environments.
  • Publications and speaking engagements at conferences.
