Role Overview:
This position is situated within our Cardiac Rhythm Management division, focusing on innovative solutions for the treatment of heart arrhythmias.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing environment.
• Recommend and implement modifications to equipment and processes to enhance production efficiency and yield.
• Design and develop manufacturing processes, tools, and fixtures to meet production demands while improving quality.
• Manage projects related to new production equipment, process enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Offer mentorship to engineers and technicians, guiding them in best practices.
• Conduct Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Process Validations to ensure quality standards.
• Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product Development to ensure manufacturability in design.
• Draft and review verification and validation protocols, assessing risks and impacts.
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives, employing tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Management Operating Systems.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in manufacturing engineering within the medical device sector.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
• Proven leadership skills in collaborative settings.
• Six Sigma certification is preferred.
• Experience in a cross-functional, international business environment is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively at various organizational levels.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
