Job Overview

Position Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-Site)

Compensation: $34-35/hour on W2

Employment Type: Contract Role

Shift Schedule: 2nd Shift: 4:30 PM – 3:30 AM EST (Monday-Thursday, with occasional pre-scheduled Fridays for overtime)

Role Summary:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is tasked with overseeing a specific cell or mid-level complexity resource allocation on the production floor.

This role entails supervising personnel within a manufacturing setting characterized by both high-volume, fast-paced production and low-volume, intricate work cells.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team to meet operational, quality, and continuous improvement objectives through effective training, coaching, and communication.
  • Advocating for the application of continuous improvement methodologies to minimize downtime, enhance quality, reduce waste, and achieve labor efficiency benchmarks.
  • Successfully implementing product and engineering modifications.
  • Exemplifying and promoting compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and initiatives.
  • Prioritizing safety in work assignments.
  • Tracking work order progress while ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Managing timecards and overtime documentation.
  • Maintaining a collaborative relationship with union representatives in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Conducting quality inspections throughout the fabrication and assembly processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to inspire and guide team members.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven organizational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic setting.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a unionized environment, along with skills in root cause analysis, corrective action, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
