Position Summary

The Quality Control Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring product quality within our manufacturing facility. This position involves conducting inspections and adhering to quality control protocols as specified in product specifications, ensuring compliance with customer requirements. The inspector will also engage in product testing processes, collaborating closely with the Design team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor adherence to guidelines, procedures, and specifications outlined in product blueprints, collaborating with supervisors to propose enhancements to management.
  • Communicate and uphold quality standards among all plant personnel.
  • Analyze test results against established specifications and control limits, providing recommendations regarding data appropriateness for product release.
  • Conduct visual inspections of finished products to ensure quality compliance.
  • Compile and analyze test data to support quality assurance processes.
  • Maintain thorough documentation related to testing procedures, including data capture forms and equipment logs.
  • Provide training to associates as necessary.
  • Participate in weekly Quality Meetings, following up on agreed action items and improvements.
  • Supply quality reference materials, including component standards and defect guides.
  • Oversee the startup approval process and ensure timely resolution of nonconformance issues.
  • Monitor and implement clear rework instructions to meet compliance requirements.
  • Report quality issues and defects to supervisory personnel.
  • Maintain records of inspection and rework activities, documenting quality issues as needed.
  • Conduct daily audits of incoming, in-process, and final products in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Review quality audit data and collaborate with production teams to enhance product and process controls.
  • Report persistent quality control challenges to management.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and train plant associates to meet quality standards.
  • Experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in work.
  • Proficient computer skills are desirable.
