Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Dairy Queen 44222. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in executing all aspects of restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts, ensuring that all critical standards for product and service quality, restaurant cleanliness and sanitation, and speed of service are maintained.
  • Assist in the execution of the restaurant's business plan as directed by the General Manager, focusing on optimizing profits by controlling product and labor costs.
  • Ensure that all PRIDE systems and routines are incorporated into the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, promoting a positive working relationship with all restaurant employees.
  • Respond to customer complaints, taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Accurately complete designated duties such as inventory control, ordering of products, and cash control.
  • Staff, train, and develop hourly employees through hiring, orientations, ongoing feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Prepare hourly employee schedules to meet the staffing requirements for each day part as determined by the General Manager.
  • Exercise good judgment in decision-making and reporting issues to the General Manager.
Requirements
  • One to three years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant, preferably in a QSR environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent customer service and employee relation skills, with the ability to oversee restaurant operations and multiple areas simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, interact with the public and co-workers constantly during shifts, and work in and out of different temperature ranges.
  • Capability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
