Work Schedule:
Part-Time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct Services:
  • Conduct weekly visits to educational institutions in the Amarillo area, with mileage reimbursed monthly.
  • Deliver educational programs on substance use and misuse to youth in grades 1-12 in both school and community settings.
  • Screen youth for educational groups and identify needs for referrals to external agencies.
  • Facilitate awareness presentations on tobacco, alcohol, and substance use for youth and adults through national or state campaigns.
  • Engage in ongoing program evaluation.
  • Provide positive health and wellness activities for youth and adults.
  • Participate in community mobilization efforts at local health fairs and events.
  • Act as a representative of Cenikor to assigned schools and community partners.
  • Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with educational institutions and community partners.

Administrative Duties:
  • Document and maintain program files in accordance with federal, state, and Cenikor guidelines.
  • Report monthly and quarterly on program measures and curriculum outcomes to ensure goals are met.
  • Attend team meetings and supervision sessions with the Prevention Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as Cenikor policies.
  • Maintain professional development as required by federal and state guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Prevention Manager to uphold Cenikor's core principles and foster a positive work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that align with the exempt functions of this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills and Experience:
  • Proficient in delivering educational programs to diverse populations.
  • Strong public speaking and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management abilities to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Effective communication and networking skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, including MS Outlook.
  • Ability to consistently embody Cenikor's core principles in all interactions.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field is required.

Experience:
Preferred experience includes working in group settings with adolescents, classroom management in school environments, and knowledge in the prevention/substance use field. Training in Positive Action Prevention Curriculum is also preferred.

Licensure:
Associate Prevention Specialist certification must be obtained within 20 months of employment.
