Infection Prevention Specialist

Ardent Health is seeking a dedicated Infection Preventionist Nurse to join our team in Amarillo, TX. As a day shift, full-time employee, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and prevention in our hospitals.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement infection control initiatives, including prioritization and implementation plans.
- Provide education, guidance, and coordination on infection prevention practices aligned with Ardent Health's mission and vision.
- Develop and implement policies governing the control of infections and communicable diseases.
- Establish a system for identifying, reporting, investigating, and controlling infections and communicable diseases.
- Current Texas RN or LVN license
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Preferred qualifications: 5 years of nursing experience, 2 years in infection prevention, and experience working with CMS Regulations, DNV, TJC, and OSHA Standards
