Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Marketing Operations is primarily focused on revenue generation through enhanced sales strategies and effective marketing leadership. This includes leveraging market research, data analysis, brand stewardship, marketing communications, advertising, and public relations to achieve sales targets.
The Director ensures that the firm's messaging is effectively communicated across various channels to reach targeted audiences, aiming to fulfill sales goals. This involves exploring innovative methods for message delivery, particularly through digital platforms, community engagement, video content, and social media.
Compensation:$100,000 - $150,000 annually plus performance incentives
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Marketing Development:
- Formulate and execute a holistic marketing strategy that fosters substantial growth exceeding current revenue levels.
- Enhance and expand Direct Response Marketing initiatives to establish leadership in the Atlanta Metro area and throughout Georgia.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify target demographics and gain insights into the legal sector within our practice areas.
- Create a compelling brand narrative that resonates with our audience.
- Oversee daily marketing and business development operations.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a results-driven marketing team.
- Guide attorneys and paralegals in effective business development techniques.
- Design and implement marketing campaigns across diverse channels, including digital marketing (SEO, PPC, social media), content marketing, traditional media (print, radio), and community outreach.
- Manage and regularly update marketing performance dashboards.
- Analyze marketing effectiveness using data analytics to refine campaigns and assess return on investment.
- Provide bi-weekly updates to the CEO.
- Participate in the Firm's Leadership Team meetings.
Lead Generation Management:
- Oversee the establishment and refinement of a lead generation system that captures qualified prospects through multiple channels.
- Evaluate lead generation systems and customer relationship management tools, providing insights to the CEO and/or COO as necessary.
- Develop nurturing campaigns aimed at converting leads into clients.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure seamless transitions from lead generation to client acquisition.
Public Relations and Communications Leadership:
- Design and implement a public relations strategy to enhance the firm's visibility and reputation within the community.
- Secure media coverage for the firm's attorneys in local and regional outlets.
- Oversee the firm's online presence, including website management and social media strategies.
- Manage communication and marketing efforts for the Firm's charitable organization.
- Draft and distribute press releases and other communication materials.
Integration of Marketing and Business Development:
- Oversee marketing initiatives at the top of the sales funnel.
- Establish broad awareness of the Firm among clients and referral sources.
- Develop and implement effective lead conversion strategies.
Client Intake Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor the client intake team, setting performance benchmarks and developing sales strategies.
- Monitor sales performance and client conversion rates, identifying areas for enhancement.
- Ensure effective collaboration between marketing and client intake teams.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage team dynamics in collaboration with the Firm's administration.
Staying Current with Marketing Trends:
- Continuously research and adopt new marketing technologies and strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Attend industry conferences and workshops to stay updated on the latest trends in legal marketing.
Budget Oversight:
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation across various initiatives.
- Track and report on marketing expenditures.
- Demonstrated success in implementing the skills and achieving the results outlined in this description.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in marketing or business (MBA preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in a leadership capacity.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing and/or business development within a law firm or related field, with a proven record of contributing to firm growth.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, brand management, and service delivery.
- Strong grasp of digital marketing strategies (SEO, PPC, social media) and content marketing.
- Experience with lead generation and sales processes.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and public relations capabilities.
- Familiarity with data analytics and marketing automation tools.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset.
