Job Summary

As a key member of the Medline team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Sales Representatives across various classes of trade, both domestically and internationally. Your primary responsibility will be to create and manage custom pack programs, drive margin improvement, and execute key customer initiatives from start to finish. You will work closely with Sales to ensure accurate prioritization and timely execution of projects, including pack reviews, standardization projects, formal and informal RFPs, large quoting projects, and BOM maintenance. Your expertise will be essential in making informed decisions on sourcing new items, offering alternative components, and driving margin improvement, all of which impact the profitability of quoted kits.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Sales to gather all necessary information for quoting, including customer, IDN, and GPO requirements.
  • Review customer-provided data to determine whether Medline should quote, driving sales growth and profitability across business units.
  • Utilize your knowledge and skills to determine tray type, component cross-reference, and tray structure, considering clinical and internal implications.
  • Work with Sales and other divisions to keep quote opportunities moving forward, including internal reviews of cost impact, missing contract prices, and ensuring division minimums are met or offering alternative cost savings opportunities.
  • Educate Sales Representatives and Product Managers on the value of custom kitting, costing, pricing, and life cycle of kitting, as well as divisional initiatives and brand preference.
  • Cross-reference and validate data using multiple systems and tools applicable to the division and manufacturing location.
  • Track and maintain details of all open business priorities, status updates, and due dates from beginning to end.
  • Submit sample requests for components and finished goods, identify substitutions, and request inventory from other locations/sources.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to clarify component details for accurate quoting to feed to production.
  • Identify and implement process improvement methods within current and new business processes.
Requirements:

Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED
Work Experience:
  • Previous Inside Sales, Retail, Hospitality, Data Management, Operations, Medical, or Lab Background
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Advanced Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Ability to process all relevant details, understanding and prioritizing their importance, and drawing clear and concise conclusions
  • High level of attention to detail required for accuracy
  • Outstanding oral and written communication required for internal and external customers
  • Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Kitting experience preferred
  • Quote System, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, SAP, AS400
