ERM is seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Management Compliance Specialist to support our client in New Orleans, LA. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations related to OSHA Process Safety Management and EPA RMP 40 CFR 68.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure departmental compliance with Process Safety Management regulations and internal PSM/Safety standards.
  • Conduct incident investigations, lead Root Cause Analysis, and drive action items to closure.
  • Implement the Management of Change (MOC) process for the assigned unit or department.
  • Prepare for and lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) - both five-year revalidations and MOC-related PHAs.
  • Promote and advise on best practices for maintaining compliance with process safety regulations to engineers, process supervisors, operators, and craftsmen.
  • Perform gap analysis and develop action plans to drive HSSE performance to world-class level.
  • Ensure the departmental operating procedures and employee training are in compliance with OSHA.
  • Verify that the department Process Safety Information is current.
  • Participate in department and site-wide compliance audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree is required; Chemical Engineering or related science field preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing, refinery, or other related industrial environment.
  • Knowledge and practice of OSHA and EPA RMP 40 CFR 68.
  • Experience in Process Safety Management.
  • Demonstrate a high commitment to process safety compliance in actions and words at all times.
  • Critical thinker and effective problem solver.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and driving HSSE performance to world-class performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Places high value on continued learning.
  • Innovative and results-oriented, able to meet objectives despite obstacles.
