Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Code Compliance Specialist to join our team at Fair Grounds. As a Code Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and laws related to environmental health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the Fair Grounds property to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
  • Investigate complaints and reports of rule violations, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Enforce regulations and laws related to environmental health and safety, including the Fair Grounds Nutrient Management Plan.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent non-compliance and promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
  • Provide training and education to employees on compliance-related topics.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and laws, and ensure that the organization is in compliance with all relevant requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, public health, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a compliance-related role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
