Safety Specialist Job Description

Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team in the Destrahan, LA area. As a Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor project compliance with company, state, and federal safety standards.
  • Provide safety support services for specific projects, including monitoring and reporting on safety performance.
  • Work in an advisory role with project management to ensure a positive health and safety culture and to control occupational risk.
  • Instruct and educate field employees on safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • Moderate knowledge in Loss Control, Accident Investigation, and Claims Management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
  • Familiarity with construction safety work rules contained in OSHA Part 1910 and 1926 regulations.
  • Degree or relevant training and experience preferred.
  • Current Basic First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Clear background check.
Preferred Experience:

Preference given to candidates with 5 years of professional experience in the administration of safety and risk management programs or occupational safety and health, preferably in the construction industry.
