Qualifications
- Education : Graduate Degree required. Completion of a PA program accredited by CAAHEP or equivalent. Graduation from a master's degree NP program or Postmaster's NP program. National certification is required post-January 1, 2000. Capability to provide care across the lifespan—pediatric, adult, and geriatric.
- Experience : Minimum of two years in a Neurosurgery care setting. One to three years in a physician/hospital practice setting preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current NP or PA license in the appropriate state, registry required with the state medical board, current DEA registry, and ACLS (not required for in-office only NP/PA) and BLS required.
- Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Capability to collaborate with management and physicians; demonstrated customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
