Tesla is on the lookout for a Residential Energy Event Specialist to join our team focused on innovative energy solutions (Powerwall, Wall Connector, Solar, Powershare, and more). In this position, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the sales of Residential Energy products and facilitating partnerships through our network of certified installers and at significant events. This role offers the exciting opportunity to operate the Tesla Residential Energy van and conduct engaging informational sessions. You will travel nationwide to connect with the existing community of Residential Energy installers and assist in expanding this network by supporting the recruitment of new installers. Your responsibilities will include managing the Residential Energy van for travel to various session locations, generating interest in our product offerings, and creating memorable experiences for attendees. This position allows you to be one of Tesla's pioneering representatives in the field, directly engaging with our customer base. You will be expected to possess knowledge of energy storage products and market trends, along with excellent interpersonal communication skills. Our team is collaborative, creative, and passionate, sharing a commitment to pioneering advancements in a rapidly evolving technology and market landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver product overviews and installation training sessions for installers and electricians.
- Organize marketing and technical events, set up the Residential Energy van, and engage with electricians and installers.
- Stay informed about Tesla's product range and relevant customer tools such as Tesla Pros and Bolt.
- Collaborate closely with local Residential Energy sales, engineering, and marketing teams to coordinate customer visits and events.
- Safely operate and maintain the Tesla Residential Energy van, promptly reporting any issues and ensuring cleanliness and organization, while also maintaining technical equipment in the mobile unit and monitoring its operational status.
- Effectively manage your travel schedule, plan itineraries, and perform necessary administrative tasks.
- Be prepared to travel for up to three weeks at a time each month, including occasional weekend work.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a B2B customer-facing training and/or marketing/events role.
- Familiarity with grid/utility markets and grid-tied technologies, including PV, wind, energy efficiency, demand response, or storage as they relate to residential and small commercial applications.
- Experience in installation or electrical work.
- Ability to foster interpersonal connections while facilitating learning and generating enthusiasm for renewable technologies.
- Fluency in English is required.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
