Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our team at Jobot. As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for supporting customers by programming temperature control systems based on project specifications. You will perform installation, warranty, emergency, and maintenance service on installed systems, utilizing your expertise in the commercial HVAC industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex system malfunctions requiring knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems.
  • Test system software in multiple programming languages.
  • Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Meet regularly with customers to become familiar with operating problems and keep them informed on the nature of service provided and outstanding issues.
  • Compile assigned job documentation, such as CAAD drawings, preventative maintenance documentation, service tickets, and punch lists.
  • Participate in training classes as assigned and conduct extensive self-study to develop technical proficiency in company product lines.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of DDC/BAS control system start-up, checkout, and service experience.
  • Experience working on units up to 20 tons.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, fire alarm & smoke removal systems, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.
  • Experience on systems including Reliable Controls, Delta, Carrier Comfort, Niagara Tridium, Trane, Honeywell, Automated logic, etc.
Working Conditions
  • Alcohol and drug-free work environment.
  • Inside and outside work environments.
  • Routine sitting, lifting, bending, and kneeling.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform job duties at required heights.
