Job Title: Commercial Account Executive

We are a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings.

A compelling opportunity exists for a Commercial Account Executive to promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory. You will build relationships with customers and close new business opportunities, ensuring customer retention.

This role is key to securing profitable sales and upgrades to new, existing and discontinued Johnson Controls Security Commercial customers. To improve customer satisfaction and retention, you will initiate post-installation follow-ups, demonstrating a commanding knowledge of our product line and services.

About the Role:

  • Promote and enforce current Johnson Controls Security policies, procedures, products, programs and services.
  • Bid on and secure new business opportunities within your assigned territory.
  • Sell additional products and services to existing accounts that present new sales opportunities.
  • Renew existing customer agreements.
  • Identify prospects using creative lead-generating techniques and maintain productive working relationships with existing customers.
  • Independently establish call plans and customer follow-up strategies and tactics.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our complete line of products/services and customers' issues and needs.
  • Process work orders and complete all paperwork in accordance with approved and standardized procedures.
  • Conduct post-installation follow-up with customers to ensure commitments were met and affirm their happiness once they have been in service.

Requirements

  • A high school degree or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior level executives within the customer and Johnson Controls Security organizations.
  • The ability to work a full-time schedule and be available for local travel is necessary.
  • Prior experience as a successful commercial sales representative in the security, IT or other technology sales industry is preferred, demonstrated by consistent ability to meet and exceed quota.
