Visual Interpreter

About the Role:
Aira is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Visual Interpreter to join our team. As a Visual Interpreter, you will play a critical role in providing live, human-to-human professional assistance to individuals who are blind or have low vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear and accurate visual information to customers in real-time.
- Utilize proprietary technology to assist customers with daily tasks and activities.
- Work effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized support.
- Collaborate with the Aira team to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Fluent in English.
- Right to work in the United States (excluded locations: CA, CO, D.C., IL, MA, NJ, NY, OR, and WA).
- Private workspace with no background noise.
- Computer system meeting Aira's technical specifications.
- Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week, including weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in customer service, call center environment, or technical support.
- Experience working with people with disabilities or accessibility technology.
- Bilingual in French or Spanish (spoken and written conversational proficiency).
