About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Assurance Subject Matter Expert to join our team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and effective deployment of AI systems across various programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop AI Assurance plans across a wide range of projects, working closely with our sponsors to ensure alignment with their goals and objectives.
  • Design experiments for real-world AI systems in defense and healthcare, leveraging your expertise in testing, measurement, and experimentation.
  • Analyze real-world data to ensure validity and reliability, supporting assurance of critical government missions.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of AI researchers at the forefront of defense and health testing, sharing your knowledge and expertise to drive innovation and excellence.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field, with at least 5 years of experience in crafting test plans and scoping requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience communicating technical information to non-technical audiences and translating project requirements into technical milestones.
  • A valid Secret level security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret level clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ten-plus years of experience in test and evaluation or a Ph.D. in a related field.
  • Experience communicating with DoD sponsors and presenting technical concepts and analyses to senior executives.
