Position Overview: Infrastructure Project Engineer

We are currently seeking an Infrastructure Project Engineer with a proven history of effectively managing a wide array of construction projects. In this role, you will lead project teams in the planning and design of construction initiatives while also playing a key role in nurturing client relationships. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic initiatives that promote the growth of our construction division.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review relevant construction standards, regulations, and contract requirements necessary for the successful completion of assigned tasks.
  • Conduct field inspections and materials testing to ensure compliance and maintain detailed documentation of construction activities.
  • Assist in project design and the preparation of construction specifications, cost estimates, and bidding documents.
  • Keep the Project Manager informed on project progress and pertinent issues through written, oral, and diagrammatic presentations.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety and environmental regulations.
  • Contribute to project schedules, monitor progress, and prevent contract conflicts from escalating.
  • Engage with contractors and their representatives while acting on behalf of the contract owner.
  • Collaborate with a team of civil engineering and technical professionals in constructing transportation and municipal infrastructure.
  • Support civil infrastructure construction and design opportunities across multiple regional areas.
Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Experience in road or bridge construction management is preferred; experience with DOT is a plus.
  • A background in construction management or a keen interest in field/construction engineering projects is preferred.
  • Industry training or certifications are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Ability to work outdoors on foot for extended periods is necessary.
  • Flexibility with variable work shifts, including day and night shifts, is required.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites, including out-of-town assignments, is essential.
  • A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.
