Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Verification and Stability Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, TX. As a key member of the engineering department, you will be responsible for supporting design verification/stability engineering projects and reliability activities in the medical device industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute design verification/stability engineering projects and reliability activities to ensure the development of safe and reliable medical devices.
  • Develop and validate test methods, write protocols based on defined requirements, and provide clear and concise test reports.
  • Perform data analysis activities, including tolerance intervals, Ppk, data reduction, and gage repeatability and reproducibility.
  • Apply design for reliability (DFR) concepts during the product development process to ensure that designs are intrinsically reliable.
  • Assist the engineering team in failure investigations/root cause analysis for problems identified during lab testing and field issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, or other).
  • Two or more years of engineering experience in medical device (or other regulated industry) using reliability testing or design.
  • Engineering project management experience.
  • An understanding of fundamental reliability concepts - life data analysis, etc.
  • A working knowledge of analog and digital electronics and ability to troubleshoot, improvise, and work from schematics.
Compensation

This is a 12-month contract position with a competitive pay range of $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
