The Tennessee Board of Regents is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Phlebotomy Adjunct Faculty. This position involves teaching responsibilities for day, evening, and online courses across various locations.
Assignments may vary by semester, and instructors will utilize the course management system (eLearn) to facilitate all classes effectively.
Instructors are expected to participate in mandatory meetings, manage attendance records, submit early alerts, and finalize grades within specified deadlines. Communication regarding curriculum updates and personnel changes should be directed to the designated coordinator or dean.
This role reports directly to the Coordinator of the Healthcare Technician Program and the Dean of Health Sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver assigned courses in Phlebotomy at various locations.
2. Develop and prepare instructional materials.
3. Assess student performance and maintain accurate class records.
4. Ensure timely submission of all required documentation.
Work Environment:
Sedentary Role:
Primarily desk-based tasks with occasional travel for program-related activities. Minimal physical exertion is expected.
Workplace Safety:
Standard office environment with adequate controls to ensure comfort and health.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a valid LPN or be a Licensed Paramedic with certifications in Phlebotomy, Electrocardiogram, and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Strong communication skills with students and staff are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
