Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Welding Process Engineer to enhance our Manufacturing team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and quality of our welding processes.
Work Environment:
Join us in a dynamic setting where we design and produce advanced rocket engines and innovative power systems that contribute to space exploration and national defense.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and resolve issues related to critical weldments, ensuring adherence to best practices for weld fit-up and cleanliness.
- Establish and document welding parameters to optimize production efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis and manage non-conforming hardware.
- Perform statistical analysis on welding processes to enhance performance.
- Define specifications and requirements for welding machinery.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing clear reports on issues and solutions.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Technology is required, along with six years of aerospace experience working with various alloys.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in developing welding parameters for various welding techniques.
- Familiarity with setting up Torch Weld Jigs for precise weldment configurations.
- Proficient in conducting root cause analysis and applying welding specifications.
- Experience in statistical process control and capability analysis.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead and collaborate within teams.
