Job Title:
Senior Welding Process Engineer

Job Summary:
Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies company, is seeking a Senior Welding Process Engineer to join our Manufacturing team in Canoga Park, CA. The successful candidate will oversee and troubleshoot critical weldments, develop weld parameters, and perform root cause analysis and disposition discrepant hardware.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and troubleshoot critical weldments to ensure best practices for weld fit-up, cleanliness requirements, and weld parameters are followed.
• Develop weld parameters and document best practices to support production.
• Perform root cause analysis and disposition discrepant hardware.
• Perform statistical process analysis of welding processes.
• Define weld machine/specification requirements.
• Accurately report problems, solutions, and results in concise written and oral communications.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Skills:
• Previous experience developing weld parameters for E.B welding, manual, In-Place-Tube or Automatic G.T.A. welding.
• Experience working with Torch Weld Jigs (TWJ), setting weldments up for exact shrinkages to fit TWJ post weld.
• Experience performing root cause analysis.
• Experience following and applying weld specifications.
• Process capability and statistical analysis experience.
• Familiarity with E.B. Weld concepts.
• Familiarity working with electronic planning, drawings, and pertinent documents such as weld parameters or weld schedules.
