Position Summary: The DCCC Member Services Department is dedicated to providing essential fundraising, campaign, and political support to Members and candidates. Our team acts as vital intermediaries for Members, advocating on their behalf to the Committee while ensuring that their needs and concerns are effectively addressed. The Member Services team collaborates closely to deliver outstanding service, with the Managing Director overseeing final approvals and departmental goals.

This role is part of a collective bargaining unit.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Duties:

  • Assist in managing daily operations of Member communication areas.
  • Act as a liaison to Members of Congress and the Committee.
  • Oversee and update various databases, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Maintain and refresh departmental resource manuals, materials, and digital tools.
  • Organize campaign fundraising communications on behalf of the Member Services Department.
  • Keep a daily log of services rendered.
  • Track attendance of Members of Congress during engagement events.
  • Coordinate intern and volunteer opportunities for the department.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual outreach meetings, including compliance briefings and training sessions.
  • Assist with mailings and phone banks for campaign initiatives.
  • Manage and update access to various digital services.

Member Engagement:

  • Publish and distribute fundraising information and weekly event directories for Members of Congress.
  • Draft communications to Members regarding DCCC campaign contributions.
  • Support the Managing Director in scheduling and managing events for Members of Congress.
  • Provide tailored training and orientation on available products, services, and resources.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Prior administrative experience is essential.
  • Political experience is preferred.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating meetings and events is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • High attention to detail, particularly when multitasking.
  • Ability to monitor quality and accuracy in personal and team outputs.
  • Proactively promotes an inclusive atmosphere and commitment to diversity.
  • Demonstrated multicultural competence in working with diverse individuals.
