Supervises: Environmental Services Team

Position Summary:

The role involves overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Environmental Services personnel, ensuring quality assurance, productivity, and adherence to regulatory standards, all aimed at maintaining a clean, appealing, and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to relevant Tribal, Federal, and other regulations, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies.
  • Uphold the highest standards of guest service by effectively addressing guest and team member inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with all staff levels regarding the cleanliness and upkeep of the casino.
  • Guide staff and assist EVS management in departmental functions and activities.
  • Provide training to staff and monitor their progress.
  • Ensure proper utilization of supplies and equipment, and train new team members on safe practices regarding chemicals, equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Assist in supervising daily activities of team members, including performance evaluations, rewards, discipline, attendance tracking, scheduling, work planning, task assignment, and issue resolution.
  • Guarantee that the department meets all established standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all work areas.
  • Support team members by assisting with cleaning tasks as needed to fulfill business demands.
  • Help manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with management from other departments to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
  • Keep the Supervisor updated on activities, needs, or concerns.
  • Perform and/or delegate laundry and linen responsibilities.
  • Complete a daily shift report after each shift.
  • Assign work areas and distribute tasks, supplies, and equipment among staff.
  • Evaluate and uphold safe work practices.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to staff and issue corrective actions as necessary.
  • Assist the Manager in departmental meetings to review policy changes, announce promotions, address staff concerns, and promote teamwork.
  • Exemplify and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.
  • Manage and safeguard confidential information entrusted to the position.
  • Attend and successfully complete all required training as assigned.
  • Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements and maintain accurate records as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one (1) year of cleaning experience is required.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.

Additional Criteria:

Preference is given to qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and qualified Native Americans.

Physical Requirements:

Work Environment:

  • Casino floor, outdoor premises, and standard office settings.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment with regular public interaction.
  • Temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels; may be exposed to high noise levels throughout the day.
  • May encounter inclement weather and extreme conditions.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure and work long hours in stressful conditions.
  • May face challenges in resolving issues with difficult guests and irate staff members.
  • Exposure to various lighting conditions, including artificial and flashing lights.
  • Travel may be necessary to fulfill essential job functions.

Employment Conditions:

  • Must obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including a successful background check.
  • Must provide authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have reliable transportation for commuting to work.
