Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Underwriting Specialist to join our E&S construction team in Northfield. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating and underwriting new business within our specialized construction appetite, including general contractors, trade contractors, infrastructure projects, and specialty construction segments.

You will partner with wholesale brokers to provide primary general liability coverage for construction E&S accounts, develop and execute sales plans, and identify cross-selling opportunities. Your ability to independently assess complex risk and sell our products in challenging markets will contribute to the profitability and success of our company.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To succeed in this role, you should have:

">

* A bachelor's degree

">

* Six to eight years of relevant underwriting experience with experience in E&S lines

">

* Deep knowledge of E&S products and the local insurance market

">

* Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to proactively identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges

">

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to successfully negotiate in difficult situations
