The Marketing Activation Manager plays a pivotal role in leading strategic marketplace activation of the company's brands across prioritized consumer destinations throughout a designated region/geography (West or Midwest), including key boost zones and venues.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize knowledge of partnership marketing principles and proven execution track-records to establish best-in-class processes
- Execute strategic pillar event and market activation roadmap
- Identify key initiatives that support commercial channel, brand and shopper plans and further reach and engage consumers in designated region/geography (West or Midwest)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external brand partners to execute, in alignment with targeted objectives
- Implement programs and initiatives that are grounded in deep consumer, product and marketplace understanding in order to help build consumer demand and market share in responsible region/geography
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights for brand activation and go to market strategy implementation of beverage products
- Build strong commercial strategy plans
- Create and facilitate presentations for a variety of audiences
- Other projects or duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Marketing related field and 6 plus years of experience in sales/account management, commercial strategy, or marketing, in the consumer goods or beverage industry or HS Diploma/GED and 9 plus years of experience sales/account management, commercial strategy, or marketing, in the consumer goods or beverage industry
- Experience building and monitoring execution action plans
- Experience managing multiple local activation programs
- Experience calling on customers i.e., Retail, Food Service/On Premise
- Knowledge of brand strategy, i.e., brand acumen, positioning and occasions, etc., and application across channels, including local marketing
- Results oriented
- Execution bias for action
- Strong verbal, written and presentations skills with all levels of an organization
- Strong relationship building skills with all levels of an organization
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Organization and planning skills
- Detail oriented mindset
- Travel up to 30%
- Master's degree
- Brand and channel management experience
- Shopper insights, category management or shopper marketing experience
- Knowledge of key consumption occasions, shopper messaging, and methods of activation and ability to localize for customers
