Job Summary

The Audiologist is a key member of our multidisciplinary team at UofL Health, responsible for administering diagnostic audiological tests to differentiate between types of hearing disorders. This role involves providing hearing aid testing, selection, and fitting to all populations, as well as comprehensive diagnostic testing, including ABR, ENG, ECOG, ASSR, and other tests as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer diagnostic audiological tests to identify hearing disorders
  • Provide hearing aid testing, selection, and fitting to all populations
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic testing, including ABR, ENG, ECOG, ASSR, and other tests as needed
  • Counsel patients regarding test results and review options to meet their hearing care needs
  • Supervise AuD students and collaborate with caregivers in various specialties
  • Pediatric and adult diagnostics, including otoscopy, tympanometry, pure tone, and speech audiometry
  • Hearing aid evaluations and fittings
  • Hearing aid follow-up evaluations and programming
  • Ear mold impressions
  • Cerumen removal
  • Vestibular diagnostics and treatment, including Videonystagmography, evoked potentials, and dynamic platform posturography
  • Auditory Brainstem Response evaluations (threshold search and neurodiagnostic testing)
  • Implantable hearing device evaluations and programming, including Baha
  • Cochlear implant evaluations and programming
Requirements
  • AuD or Master's degree in Audiology
  • CCC-A credential and eligibility for Kentucky licensure in audiology
  • Prefer a minimum of five years of experience
