About the Role:

Amedisys, Inc. is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Speech Language Pathologist Home Health Specialist, you will work with patients in their homes to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' communication and swallowing needs
  • Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to the state you are assigned to work
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate coursework and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA)
  • Current CPR certification
  • One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology
