About the Role:
Amedisys, Inc. is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and improving the lives of individuals in need of speech and language services.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
- Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and develop augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
Requirements:
- Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to the state you are assigned to work.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate coursework and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
- Current CPR certification.
- Preferred: One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology.
