Position: Youth Sports Program Coordinator


Schedule: Part-time, Monday-Friday: 1PM to 5:30PM
Location: Various schools within the district
Expected Hourly Rate: $20/hour

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspire TK/K-6th grade students through social-emotional learning and enrichment activities such as STEAM, music, and Lego.
  • Facilitate lessons designed to spark enthusiasm for learning.
  • Assist students with homework and provide snacks.
  • Manage student behavior effectively (up to 20 students) with minimal assistance.
  • Ensure student safety during outdoor activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with staff and engage in professional development.
  • Act as a positive role model to enhance students' self-esteem and emotional wellness.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience working successfully with elementary and/or middle school children.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans while maintaining organization and accuracy in activities.
  • Support students' behavioral management needs effectively.
  • Connect with students to foster positive learning experiences.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and initiative by responding to student needs.
  • Exhibit approachability, empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with children.
  • Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
  • Comfortable using online platforms for training and resources.
  • Work collaboratively with school administrators, parents, and fellow coaches.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Eligibility to work in the United States, completion of a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening.
  • 1-2 years of experience in education, coaching, child development, or related fields preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Willingness to adhere to health protocols as outlined by the school.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to move frequently to accomplish tasks or transition between locations.
  • Capability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional running and engaging in other physically demanding activities.
  • Ability to navigate safely on uneven terrain regularly.
