Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a strong interest in cloud infrastructure to join our Developer Experience (DX) Team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the design and development of advanced Kubernetes cloud applications, enabling users to effectively manage and optimize their cloud environments. This position will focus on utilizing cutting-edge technologies and addressing challenges related to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).

Key Responsibilities

  • System Design and Architecture: Collaborate in creating and architecting cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing Apache Spark for distributed data processing and analytics. Develop scalable architectures that fulfill performance and reliability standards.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Participate in the development of automation pipelines using Jenkins for CI/CD of infrastructure modifications. Create Jenkins pipelines to streamline testing, building, and deployment processes for cloud components, employing tools like GitHub Actions and Apache Airflow.
  • Version Control and Collaboration: Oversee code repositories and work collaboratively with team members through GitHub. Implement best practices for version control to facilitate seamless teamwork and code management.
  • Infrastructure Provisioning: Manage and provision cloud resources using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles. Develop Terraform scripts for Kubernetes infrastructure, utilizing tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation across various cloud platforms.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Establish monitoring and alerting systems to assess the health and performance of cloud components. Set up dashboards and alerts using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Security and Compliance: Aid in the enforcement of security protocols and compliance measures within cloud deployments. Ensure robust access controls and encryption practices to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure architecture and design decisions. Share insights and best practices with team members through various channels.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Familiarity with GitHub actions and self-hosted runners.
  • Experience managing Kubernetes workloads across multiple cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of security tools and policies across cloud providers.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang and Python.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with Linux OS provisioning and configuration management tools.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role varies by region and is influenced by factors such as skills and experience. The expected annual base salary range is between $125,000 and $180,000, depending on location.

Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off, along with potential bonus compensation based on performance.
