Job Description

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for an opportunity in a dynamic environment.

Position Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Remote

Job Type: Contract (40 hours weekly), Hybrid

Pay Range: $95/hr - $97/hr

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Operating Systems: Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Networking: Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, and BGP.
  • Cloud Security: Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Data Monitoring and Alerting: Design and implement data monitoring and alerting systems to ensure timely detection and response to issues.

Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure resources, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.

Cloud Security: Ensure cloud security best practices are followed and compliance with industry standards is maintained.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud infrastructure with other systems and applications.

Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and security.

Communication: Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and provide guidance on cloud infrastructure and security best practices.

Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud infrastructure and security technologies and best practices.
