We are in search of a seasoned and proactive individual to take on the role of Director of Cloud/Infrastructure Operations. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for the strategic oversight, planning, and execution of our cloud and infrastructure operations, ensuring optimal availability, scalability, and performance of our IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive strategy for cloud and infrastructure operations that aligns with the organization's business objectives.
- Lead and guide a team of talented professionals tasked with cloud architecture, infrastructure deployment, and ongoing operational management.
- Steer the design and execution of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
- Manage the daily operations of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring reliability, availability, and performance standards are met.
- Devise and execute strategies to optimize cloud expenditures while maintaining high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with the security team to ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards in cloud and infrastructure operations.
- Oversee relationships with cloud service providers and other infrastructure vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, assess service level agreements, and ensure optimal vendor performance.
- Develop and sustain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans for infrastructure operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in leading cloud and infrastructure operations in a senior management capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure technologies.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance mandates, and data protection protocols.
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with a proven capacity to collaborate effectively across various departments.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, mission-critical IT environments.
