About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant - X-Ray Technician to join our team at UofL Health. As a key member of our medical office, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties, including medical assisting and X-ray procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Greets patients, confirms X-ray procedures, and explains the process to patients.
  • Takes X-ray exposures of patients following established protocols.
  • Processes film and inspects images to ensure they meet radiologist requirements.
  • Maintains equipment and examination rooms, stores film, and manages related supplies.
  • Prepares patient information files and fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical assistant diploma from an accredited institution or community college course in medical assisting.
  • Associate's degree in Radiological Technology from an accredited program.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant and X-ray technician.
