We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Family Medicine team at our Louisville location. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

About the Role

This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a rotating Saturday shift from 8 am to noon. You will be responsible for performing administrative duties, obtaining patient medical history, vital signs, and chart preparation, as well as maintaining accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clinic administrative duties, including answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check in/out, and coordinating and facilitating accurate patient appointment
  • Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations
  • Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by the appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies
  • Prepare examination room, ensuring proper equipment is present and room is adequately stocked
  • Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system
Requirements
  • Good history-taking skills, strong, competent computer skills; accurate and complete documentation skills; good time management and organizational skills
  • Relate well and communicate with patients, providers, and staff
  • Able to demonstrate self-direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision
  • Education Requirements: Completion of Medical Assistant education. Certification is not required but preferred

We offer a competitive hourly pay range of $18.36 - $23.50/hour (full pay range is $18.36 - $27.54) and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, company-paid life insurance, and 401(k) matching. Part-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, company-paid life insurance, voluntary benefits, RTD EcoPass, and holiday pay (if regularly scheduled to work on an observed holiday).
